Christy Tucker posted a message on Twitter earlier this month about a presentation called “eLearning Sucks” (see below). This presentation is a good reminder that we should continue to innovate and experiment with ways to keep our learners engaged. Check it out. Oh, and yes, it’s a bit ironic that this is a linear slideshow. 🙂
(This presentation was created by a company called Red Magma in London. I spent 5 minutes on their web site and I still don’t have a clear idea of what they do!)
Great presentation, thanks for sharing that.Now I just need to figure out how to make product training suck less when customer only want to pay for classroom training. Challenge is good, it keeps me thinking.
True, this presentation leaves something to be desired (slideshare has yet to capture my imagination). That said, the message is right on the money: eLearning sucks. Because developers don’t put any soul in it. It’s all theory and academic gobbledegook and no passion.
Something’s gotta change…
